Winner of the Archiproducts Design Award in 2023, and curated for the Centre Pompidou Boutique, Lớp is a testament to BằNG’s attention to detail and quality.

Lớp is a sculptural lighting collection. In Vietnamese lớp means: layers.

Lớp started with the idea of: something floating into something.

Step by step it evolved into: a sphere floating within layers. Once turned on, the reflections of the sphere on the acrylic layers appear. Reminiscing of a trail of after images of a sphere in motion. The sphere is static, its plural reflections bring movement

All Lớp lamps use warm white light bulbs. Only blue models come with a red light bulb.

The Creative Director and Designer of BằNG, Thomas Vincent, has given shape to Lớp. His design is rooted in BằNG’s core values: a commitment to superb craftsmanship, innovative design, and manufacturing excellence. The collection encapsulates the design philosophy of the brand, which is deeply connected to materials and process, as denoted by its name “BằNG”, a Vietnamese preposition for “made by” or “made from”.
